Twitter a Curator to Learn more about museums
The latest technology can be used to find out about the guardians of Leicestershire's old artifacts during Ask A Curator day.
Ask A Curator Day is a world-wide online question-and-answer event in which anyone can put questions to museum and gallery curators on the Twitter website to discover more about what goes on in their local museums.
Between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday 1st September members of the public can ask Leicestershire County Council's friendly and helpful curators about their jobs, their museums and the many fascinating artifacts in their collections, and they will do their best to answer them.
The council will have a number of curators on-hand to answer questions during the day, including Richard Knox, Keeper of Bosworth Battlefield and Donington le Heath Manor House, Jenny Dancey, Keeper of Melton Carnegie Museum and Fiona Ure, Curator of Leicestershire Life.
Leicestershire County Council Lead Member for Adults & Communities David Sprason said: "Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff will be only too happy to discuss their roles within your local museums - so why not tweet them and find out more?"
