Travel by Bus for 50p!

Fifty pence doesn't stretch very far these days but this spring, it will be enough to bag a bargain bus ticket.
From this week, special vouchers offering householders discounted bus travel are landing on thousands of doormats across the county.
The 'Spring Saver' coupons, from Leicestershire County Council, enable people to buy tickets for just 50p for four weeks and are available for 10 bus services.
The campaign is run in partnership with bus companies to show that bus travel is convenient, could save time and money and is a 'green' alternative.
Lesley Pendleton, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for environment and transport, said: "Bus travel is a hassle-free and environmentally-friendly travel option and we hope that people will use the discounted vouchers to give it a try.
"Reducing the number of cars on the road also helps to tackle congestion and I hope that the offer will encourage a number of people to think about changing their travel habits."
