Don’t miss one of the region’s biggest events of the year – Snibston’s explosive Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday 5th November. The event is expected to draw in over 9,000 visitors who will be totally in awe of the magnificent fireworks display and this year, they will be launched to iconic British-themed music!

The event will have live music from tribute bands ‘Girls Alouder’ and the ‘Saturdayz’ representing a Best of British theme, and there will be a majestic autumnal bonfire and children’s rides too. Members of the Thringstone Cubs Group will be donating this year’s Guy Fawkes for the bonfire.

The evening starts off at 5pm with inclusive admission to the museum galleries. The Extra Ordinary Gallery and Light Fantastic is a favourite with children and adults alike, with hands on exhibits, the technologies and inventions that have shaped our every day lives.

Local radio station Hermitage FM and street entertainers will warm up the crowd outside in the count down to the bonfire display at 6.45pm and the amazing fireworks display at 7.30pm.

Hot food and refreshments will be on offer all evening and guests can enjoy typical bonfire treats such as Blackbrook 100% beef burgers, roast pork rolls the good old British bangers, cheesy chips, donuts, candy floss and roasted chestnuts!

David Sprason, Leicestershire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Adults and Communities said, “This is one of the biggest events of the year for Snibston and we plan for it to go off with a bang! The quality of our fireworks display never ceases to thrill the crowds that come back year on year. In addition to this we are offering great live entertainment that will add to the amazing Best of British theme of the evening. Snibston’s fireworks event enables people to go to an organised display in a safe and secure environment.”

Tickets for the event cost £4 advance or £6 on the gate for pedestrians. They are available from Snibston, Ashby TIC, the Hermitage Leisure Centre, Coalville Library and Coalville Co-op Travel. You can also buy tickets over the phone by calling 01530 278 444 or online at: www.goleicestershire.com

The site is not offering parking (except for blue badge holders), but free parking is available in Coalville Town Centre, and free shuttle buses are being provided by Roberts Coaches. Doors open at 5pm, bonfire at 6.45pm and fireworks 7.30pm.

For more information and to buy tickets please contact Snibston on 01530 278 444 email snibston@leics.gov.uk or visit: www.snibston.com
