January Sale for Park and Ride
Shoppers visiting Leicester city centre for the January sales can take advantage of a month-long discount on the city and county council’s park and ride service.
Passengers using either the Enderby or Meynell’s Gorse park and ride services during January can pay just £2 for a day ticket or £2.50 for a group day ticket – a saving of one third.
Both of these fast, efficient services operate direct to the city centre, Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm, with Enderby operating every ten minutes and Meynell’s Gorse every quarter of an hour, making it the ideal option for work, shopping and leisure.
Included in the ticket price is the option to stay on the service (or board the bus at St Nicholas Place, Stand 2 for Meynell’s Gorse passengers) for the city loop section, which stops at key areas of the city such as the Leicester Royal Infirmary and De Montfort University.
As well as saving on their bus fare, passengers can also pick up a copy of the Passenger Privileges voucher booklet packed full of exclusive discounts and offers vouchers in outlets which can be claimed when presented with an Enderby or Meynell’s Gorse bus ticket.
Lesley Pendleton, Leicestershire County Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, said: The park and ride has been increasingly popular, and we hope this new deal to help with the January sales will attract even more people onto this great service.”
A timetable and ticket options are available at www.quicksilverbus.co.uk along with the option to request a copy of the Passenger Privileges voucher booklet. Information is also available on 0116 305 0002.
